About Our Herkimer Diamonds
Herkimer diamonds have a rough, natural beauty
Herkimer diamonds stand out for their naturally facetted shapes. They always come to a point at both ends of the crystal, but the facet shape can vary from piece to piece. The crystals give our jewelry a wild sparkle, as opposed to the uniformity of a traditionally cut stone.
Contrary to their name, Herkimer diamonds are not diamonds. They are actually a double-terminated quartz, meaning that both ends of the crystal have a point. They are named after Herkimer County, New York, where they are often found.
Our herkimer diamond beads come from a small supplier in Indiana, run by a professional jeweler who also supplies all our chains. We are a small business, and we love to support other small businesses and encourage ethical production in the US and abroad.
