Stormy Seas Collection

Dear Reader,

We’re ringing in the new year with the launch of our new limited-edition Stormy Seas Collection. The collection features pearls in hues of deep blue and soft gray, the colors of murky skies and rough waves. The colors are moody, but the collection itself is inspired by the hope that something beautiful can come out fo difficult times. Weathering 2020 has been challenging, and a new year doesn’t mean things will automatically get easier, but it’s as good a time as any to reflect on the past and look towards the future with hope.

I started the year balancing a full-time design job and a full course load at FIT. I was constantly busy, so it was strange when lockdown started and I found myself with days of unstructured time to myself. I don’t think I realized how much I needed to slow down until I was forced to. The year threw quite a few challenges at me - I lost my job, couldn’t see my family, and had to adapt to online learning. Still, I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have stayed healthy and not lost anyone close to me. I’m grateful for the shift in perspective, and that I was able to take time to do things I’m passionate about, like starting Seafoam & Gold.

I hope you feel inspired and beautiful in the Stormy Seas Collection. I’ll be wearing these pieces into 2021 as a reminder of my own resilience.
